You Choose from the Top 5 MPG Cars
October 20, 2008 – 5:07 pmThe price of fuel has been decreasing in recent months. However, gasoline and diesel are still at record high prices. People all around the world have tossed certain criteria out the window and have started focusing on fuel efficiency. For instance, Hummers and Escalades aren’t as popular because they are complete gas-guzzlers. Instead, we are seeing more ’smart’ cars on the road. People aren’t as concerned with the look of vehicles lately. Instead, consumers seem to only be concerned with the cars’ fuel efficiency. Here are the top five most fuel efficient cars today.
1. 2009 Toyota Prius
-The Prius averages about 48 miles per gallon in the city and over 45 mpg on the highway.

As you can see, the most fuel efficient cars are the Toyota Prius and the Honda Civic. The Honda Civic has been around for decades. The Prius has been around for several years. However, the Smart fortwo car has made its grand entrance this year. It is surprising to not that it ranks almost as high as the Civic and the Prius, in terms of fuel efficiency, especially since it is such a new model.
