Fuel Additives VS…

November 25, 2008 – 11:49 am
Drivers have become very creative when it comes to saving gas.  People drove around this summer with their AC off and their window down to save money on gas.  People with trucks drove with their tailgate down, hoping to increase their air resistance and gas mileage.  Both of these methods actually waste gas instead of save it.
Is it better to use a fuel additive or turn off your AC?  Is it better to use a fuel additive or leave your tailgate down?  The answer will always be the same.  It will always be more beneficial to use a fuel additive than to use some other wacky gas-saving myth.
Fuel additives really do work.  Not only will you get better gas mileage, you will get more power and better performance.  Using regular gasoline or diesel can leave deposits of junk in your engine.  Fuel additives not only prevent these build-ups but they remove them as well.  This means that it isn’t too late to start using a fuel additive.  Regular fuel or diesel hasn’t harmed your engine.  But, your engine will run more efficiently with the use of a fuel additive.
Fuel additives also help everything else clean and clear.  Fuel additives clean out the entire fuel system, including carburetors, etc.  No wonder why you’ll get more power and performance.  Doesn’t it make sense that a clean and clear fuel system will use less gas and run more efficiently than a clogged system?  Fuel additives can increase your gas mileage by up to 30 percent.  All you have to do is make sure you use a good quality fuel additive.
Turning off your AC isn’t going to save a lot of gas.  In fact, driving with your windows down actually uses more gas because it makes your car, truck or SUV less aerodynamic.  The same holds true with driving with your tailgate down.  Driving with the tailgate down increases the drag on your truck.  When the drag is increased, there is more outside air pushing on your truck.  This causes the engine to work harder and use more gas.
It is much easier and beneficial to use a fuel additive than it is to believe these crazy fuel-saving tips.  Don’t waste your time experimenting with different ways to save gas.  Use a fuel additive to get better gas mileage, more power and increased performance, guaranteed.
