Fuel additives makes it more possible to enjoy your RV in the winter months.  It is much more common to use your RV now than it used to be, thanks to fuel additives.  Whether your RV uses regular fuel or diesel, you can maximize its performance during the winter with a fuel additive.

Better insulated RVs do better in the winter time than other RVs.  This is because it doesn’t take as much fuel to keep the unit warm.  If you use a fuel additive or diesel additive, it doesn’t matter as much how much fuel you are using to keep your rig warm.

So, why is a fuel additive so important in RVs during the winter?  The fuel in your RV is sure to turn into a gel-like substance if you don’t use a fuel additive.  RVs that use diesel fuel are more likely to run into this problem.  For this reason, it is critical that you use a diesel fuel additive, especially in the winter.

The additive will prevent the fuel from becoming stale.  When your fuel becomes stale, it can varnish to form inside the fuel system.  It will also help prevent your fuel from freezing.  All you have to do is add the additive to your gas tank every time you fill up.  Make sure you give it enough time to get to the engine too.  Keep everything running for a few minutes to make sure the fuel additive has enough time to start working.

Don’t consider using your RV during the winter unless you plan on also using a good quality fuel additive.  It will prevent your fuel from freezing or turning into a harmful gel. Fuel additives have finally made it more feasible to use your RV year-round.  Once you start using a fuel additive in your RV, you’ll never stop because you’ll see the marked difference in the way your RV performs.
